Dicentra eximia 'Fire Island'

Fringed Bleeding Heart

Plant Type: Perennial

Flaming magenta red, heart-shaped flowers with white tips are produced in clusters above the very finely textured, frosty blue foliage from late spring into midsummer. its more vigorous growth rate, bushier habit, earlier flowering, and increased flower production. This sun loving alpine type of bleeding heart has been extremely popular since its introduction into the US. Two added bonuses with this new selection: it is more disease resistant and does not produce seed, helping it to bloom longer into summer.
