Cup-shaped blossoms with overlapping petals in a range of colors including purple, near-black, red, rose-pink, yellow, pale green and white. Very early spring blooms last for 6 weeks or more, held aloft or coddled in leathery, serrated evergreen leaves. Perfect for naturalizing in woodland gardens. Great for shady areas with dry soil conditions. Helleborus x hybridus is 2005 Perennial Plant Association Plant of the Year.
